Dairy Pipe Lines (DPL) dates back to the 1890s when brass and gunmetal valves and fittings were made for London's brewing and dairy companies. Having moved to our present site in Saffron Walden, Essex, in 1971, we initiated a product development programme - which is ongoing to this day - to meet specific customer requirements as well as the overall fluids handing market needs. During this period, DPL developed a range of Diamond valves - on/off butterfly, pressure relief, non-return and plug valves which are used extensively throughout the food processing, beverage, soft drinks and brewing sectors. Our product portfolio was expanded still further in the 1990s with the addition of ball valves, pneumatic actuators and electronic control systems. Valves and actuators continue to represent an increasing share of DPL's total capacity and significant investment in CNC machines has enabled us to achieve more efficient production targeted at meeting market demands. As your requirements change and process production system design evolves, our wealth of experience and proven technological and engineering expertise enables us to design and manufacture new product ranges to individual customer specifications. An example of our capability to carry out such specialist work is the successful launch of the SLIMLINE ball valve range in 1997. The DPL of today is a well-established name in the food processing, dairy, soft drinks, brewing and beverages markets - where quality of manufacture and confidence in product performance are of prime importance. We continue to invest in research and development and have recently worked closely with customers to develop a new range of pressure relief valves. With a proven range of valves and actuators, which are put through a series of rigorous quality control procedures before they reach you, the customer, we are also making inroads into the pharmaceuticals industry where stringent hygiene standards are the key concern. DPL is accredited to BS EN ISO 9002 and is a member of the following professional bodies:
